The CHALLENGE
JCB required a bespoke set of wheel rim trims to celebrate 80 years of innovation, designed to match their iconic brand yellow with complete accuracy. The solution needed to work across multiple types of plant machinery—including Backhoe and Loadall models—while maintaining consistency across different wheel sizes and specifications. In total, the project covered 464 wheels across 116 new machines, all of which had to be completed without interrupting production or compromising JCB’s strict brand and manufacturing standards.

The process
MATERIAL & COLOUR SPECIFICATION:
We engineered a precise colour match to JCB’s signature yellow, ensuring a durable and consistent finish across all units. The materials were selected to withstand demanding on-site conditions while maintaining long-term visual quality.
PRECISION PROFILING & VALIDATION:
Each wheel rim was profiled to exact OEM specifications to ensure a perfect fit across all machinery types. Sample testing and trial runs were conducted to validate colour accuracy, finish, and durability before full production.
SYNCHRONISED PRODUCTION INTEGRATION:
All 464 custom rims were produced and coordinated in line with JCB’s assembly schedule. The rims were applied directly as vehicles moved through the production line, ensuring seamless integration with zero disruption to manufacturing timelines.
The end product
A complete set of 464 custom-branded wheel rims was delivered and fitted across 116 machines, creating a unified and visually striking anniversary fleet. The solution met all brand, durability, and production requirements, delivering a high-impact finish aligned with JCB’s global celebrations. All machines were completed on schedule, with the rims designed for long-term performance in demanding operational environments.
